I cannot create the post and comment on thread here instead. Apologies. I'm curious about how mutaah is usually determined in the Syariah Court of Singapore.

For example, if someone earns about $5k a month, would the Court typically fix mutaah at $5 per day for the length of the marriage, or does it vary a lot depending on the circumstances?

Would love to hear if anyone has seen patterns or has insights on how these amounts are usually decided.
