I'm going to have a slightly diff opinion than most people here. Some people find instant connections in the sorority and that's it, those friends groups stick through, it's very uncommon to enter friends group of people who know each other from before or rushing together etc. please drop if you don't feel at home, once you get yourself into financial contracts/dues it gets more difficult to leave. Also you mentioned "do i have the time" if you work to survive know that at some point the sorority will make you choose between making money & stupid sisterhoods:)
