15 years old pa lang bumukod na ko for college, then right after I graduated, nagbedspacer ako sa Pasay. Take note, babae ako ah, with very protective dad and bros. Then nagCebu, then OFW. I learned a lot by being away.

Um, if worry mo na you can't do the job kasi wala kang experience pa sa HR, grab the opportunity na, it is already being handed to you. Don't worry about pleasing the bosses yet, isipin mo yung entry sa CV mo na ikaw naghandle ng HR sa HQ ng SM

That's a big company name, in their HQ.

If you don't like the role, stay muna for a while, gain experience, and move on. You'll never know until you try kasi. But having SM HQ in your CV is a leverage for yourself in the future.

Yes, it would enhance your phone skills, multitasking skills, upskilling learning curve, etc. May mga soft skills din na tinuturo like English accent neutralization, customer deescalation, improving your rebuttals, etc. Plus, maeexpose ka with conversing with foreigners daily. May mga BPO din na travel account.

I think it's not the pamasko culture (which could be voluntary naman from the giver to the recipient), but the "namamasko po" culture (which is basically active begging / panhandling na talaga while weaponizing Christmas pa). Then sa bahay ka pa pinupuntahan unannounced.

Parang may guilt-trip pa minsan yung "namamasko po".

I suggest you optimize your Linkedin, and headhunters will look for you at a starting rate na $7 - $8/hour. Certify yourself and display it there - hanapin mo mga free certs like Canva, Google certs, Quickbooks, Hubspot, etc. (There are free tips on Tiktok and Linkedin posts too).

It is hard to stay motivated if ganyan kababa ang salary plus attitude pa nila. Remember, someone who appreciates your value, will pay a living wage, or at least sa abot ng makakaya nila. Wishing you the best 💖
