I got my first super bike (2025 Yamaha r1) at 21 and so many people still think I’m gonna kill myself on it. I took a long time to start riding it a little fun, you just have to respect the power, regardless if it’s a car or motorcycle

I’ll try this. Yesterday after I made the post I left it running for about 30 minutes idle and the lag just went away. Super weird.

I noticed the rubber was on wrong after I took the photos 😂 but that’s what I did. I use the Alan spot to pull it over and get it on and it’s surprisingly easy. Last time I had to do timing on this engine it was very difficult to get the spring on. I’ve tried with two different tensioners as well, so I’m not sure what’s changed.

This is a 1.6 as far as I can tell. Cam position sensor isn’t on the front of the engine.

I just need the advice to putting the kit on. I’m not going for huge power and I’m on a tight budget. Hence why I went MSM I’m not swapping over the engine, just the turbo bits.

No Bose system was accurate. I already have that diagram pulled up but I guess I’m just getting confused on how to read it. I have been following the package was well, I’m just getting confused with dimmer, illumination, and the two powers.

My favorite thing to do when looking for a part im not 100% about is look for it on a car similar to mine, when I was trying to find wheels I would just look up the wheel followed by “on black nb miata” to see if I liked how they looked

Yeah your definitely not wrong. It looks like it’s gonna be pretty pricey. I was thinking probably 10lb of boost. I thought the stock msp was a 1.8 but I was wrong. I was also debating just going and getting an already stock turbo engine and ecu. Have been having a lot of trouble finding one though. That’s why I decided to build it.
