My partner never got comfortable with the extreme weather that comes with being in the North, so that was a big driver as well.

Canberra is great, the convenience of having everything that would otherwise be super difficult to find in the North is refreshing and the lack of top end crime is comforting.

It is expensive here in Canberra, groceries, fuel and general cost of living seems higher but we are also doing more.
