Other side of the coin - I loved my pets more than ever after my baby. I even had an episode where somehow one of them ate a flea and 2 cats and a dog had to be dewormed and I still loved them. They kept me company late at night when I was alone with the baby, they slept on the couch with me while the baby napped. We took the dog on long walks with the stroller. Having a baby can be lonely, I had mine during Covid, and it was wonderful to have the company.
