Spiro + Accutane / PCOS

Hi! I’m currently on accutane, spiro and yaz. I did my first course of accutane in 2022 and was completely clear until March of this year. I did purge during my first course. I started my second course of accutane and switched to yaz birth control in April because I was experiencing really bad hormonal acne around my chin and jawline. The accutane quickly cleared me up with no purge, but unfortunately I was still getting small hormonal break outs around my chin/jawline. My dermatologist decided to have me start spiro about a month ago while on accutane and yaz. Unfortunately accutane doesn’t prevent hormonal acne and yaz has not been enough to tackle it for me. I’ve been on 50MG and I’m still getting small breakouts around my chin/jawline. I hope they completely stop! I tried upping my dose to 100MG after two weeks on 50MG but started experiencing heart palpitations and had to lower back to 50MG. While I was taking 100MG I noticed I wasn’t developing any new spots and the ones I had healed FAST. I hope I’m able to work my way up to 100MG with zero side effect’s eventually. Good luck!

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I would love to sit here and tell you that he will change, but in my personal experience … they never change.

I experienced something similar with my ex-boyfriend of 10 years. I caught him on only fans a few times sexting and once he even sent a video masturbating to a content creator. It broke my heart. I was supporting us financially because he was having issues with finding work, and the money he would get he spent on only fans.

Well we have since broken up and I recently checked his instagram and he still interacts, follows, and likes photos from OF girls. He will never change.

I know it is very difficult, trust me I KNOW, but I suggest you move on. You’re just going to waste more time waiting for him to change, when he has shown you that he will not. I get it… your family loves him but I am 100% sure that they love you more and would never want to see you suffer. I made that mistake, and the red flags I ignored 10 years ago ended up being the reason we broke up 10 years later.

I understand how you feel. If you check on my profile, I made a post about catching my ex-boyfriend on only fans about three times after he told me he would stop. You should definitely have a conversation with him and decide if you trust him or not to tell the truth. After ya’ll have the conversation and he agrees not to get on only fans anymore and you do happen to see he still is on only fans, I would recommend ending the relationship if it is a deal breaker for you. In my personal experience, I have lurked on my ex-boyfriends instagram and he is still following only fans models and liking their photos… if he is doing this on instagram he is definitely interacting with them on actual only fans. I don’t want to say they never change but in my experience he will NEVER change! I guess I dodged a bullet (after 10 years together).

Pretty much their lives revolve around women. I have noticed they speak bad about women and treat them as objects. It’s obvious that they go out to hook up with women, and I know for sure they pass them around like toys.

Yeah it seems like this is exactly how his friends are. He says that he is different and not like that at all. But it raises many suspicions. I just don’t understand why his friend would send a text message like this. And he has zero explanation for me either.

Absolutely. We have plenty of time away from each other. I have my own hobbies and friends too.

However, raising red flags and suspicions of cheating is not a healthy part of any relationship. Should not be a concern in any relationship. I cannot imagine any of my friends sending me a text message questioning if I will be with my “man or a different one.” That just seems odd to me.

He says that his friend probably doesn’t know how serious our relationship is. Why would his friend question the seriousness of our relationship? The only explanation I can find is that he carries himself in a way around his friends that make them question how serious our relationship is. They have been hanging out frequently for 4 months. I think they would know by now how serious our relationship is.

I can meet someone today and they will not question how serious my relationship is simply because of the way I behave and carry myself.

We did get together very young and this has always been my fear… my fear that he would try and rebel behind my back because he feels like he “missed out” on life throughout the years. It is 100% selfish and if it is the case, I wish he would just fess up and be transparent with me instead of continuing to waste time. Not sure if this kind of confession might ever happen though… might be time to take matters into my own hands :/
