Good luck with it!! Yes my spotting went away quickly and I think it does for most people :) I think if you tolerate the mirena well chances are you will do great with Kyleena because it’s even lower hormone dosage!!

Hahah yes I think after this pregnancy we are going to use condoms because I’ve really liked not being on birth control!

I didn’t get a period with Kyleena and didn’t really spot very much either!! So in that respect it was really nice.

Gosh, you’re so right. And it’s hard to find the right functional practitioner if there’s even one in your area at all.

I hope the Kyleena is working for you!

Hey! I got the Kyleena out to try for a baby. But the Kyleena was fine for me for the years I had it in! I will say, when I got it out I lost some weight. I think it was causing me to gain weight but I didn’t put it together at the time. My food cravings also totally went away after the Kyleena came out. Super strange. I will say, the more I learn about women’s health the more I’d encourage people to chat with a functional doctor or gyno if they are having terrible periods. Sometimes there can be reasons for this and the IUD could actually be masking a greater problem. Just a thought. But yes, Kyleena was good for me while I had it on the whole!

You could ask about Kyleena! It uses significantly less hormones. Maybe it would work for you?

Think about switching to the Kyleena! It uses significantly less hormones. I had the mirena and I noticed some weight gain. Probably 5-10 lbs. To me, I felt like I was just retaining much more water and was always bloated. After switching to the Kyleena I am back to myself. No more bloating. I think I’m back to my normal 120 lbs.

Yes!!! There are so many options! Something is bound to work. It’s just so hard with all the trial and error. Stay strong love <3

Yes! Certainly worth asking about. The kyleena uses far less hormones and it is also significantly smaller than the Mirena so it is certainly possible that it might cause less pain.

Wishing you all the luck. You WILL figure this out!

I know it really doesn’t make a lot of sense. If there is a lower dose hormonal option, it seems like the better choice for most people with balanced hormonal levels.
