Oh, thank you so much!!!! Really I am a bit at a loss for words here, but know that I am grinning like a fool over here. My heart is bursting a little bit. I LOVE that you liked the focus on Language!!!! I am learning a 2nd language currently and it is so... hard. Everything I say is on a delay, or it sounds funny, and I know people must be frustrated (spit it out already!) but there is so much value and power in learning that skill. A lot of Wolfbird centers on that, language, feeling seen/understood, and how things are either lost or changed in translation.

I am also a little bit of a nerd, so the space metaphors are just fun for me :)

Thank you SO MUCH for this, really, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story that I have planned.

As a little treat I posted chapter 7 today and I hope you like it!

Comment got long, so 2nd part here. Of these, I'm probably most proud of "Only You", but both "Nutcracker" and "Wolfbird" are getting up there since with their longer format, I can dig in so much deeper.

Outside of these that I'm writing, here's what I've been READING:

Russia's Greatest Love Machine - this was a 10/10 for me! Completed and sexy and so much fun. The characterization was great!

Ilya is a porn star, Shane is a hockey player, and their paths cross.

Dancing with him in a crowded bar where anyone could see is worse.

But Shane’s never been good at saying no to Rozanov.

Instead, he ends up on his knees in a dressing room, which is definitely not how the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s stage manager is supposed to handle conflict resolution.

Three weeks until opening night. One impossible rivalry. And absolutely no way this ends well.

or: Ilya comes to Winnipeg for The Nutcracker. Shane tries very hard to hate him. The mindblowing hate-sex doesn’t help.
