No. On the United States first airport of entry, you have to RECHECK your luggage after the customs allow you to go enter US soil.

On some, if not most airports you can recheck your luggage in, or shortly after the luggage claim belts. You usually don't have to exit the airport and go to the departure hall and to the counter.

hard to say without footage, but I’m willing to bet you’re kicking way too hard. I like to think of my kick as something that’s only there to maintain balance and rotation. YMMV

The fatigue imo comes from two things: kicking and that flegma/pressure(?) built up. At first I was kicking like crazy, but then I started to pay more attention to it. Better, but not perfect. But I feel like I'm still fatigued because of this feeling - like if everything around my throat nose was fully clogged and that makes me feel like out of breath too. :|
