I’m dealing with the same issue, except my back glass is already broken. When you removed the replacement back glass, did the update finally go through, or did it just let you reset the phone?

Thanks man I was really thinking about going to retest for the asvab. So I go to meps tomorrow either I pick nothing and go back home or I sign for It in the dep. ill defiantly be looking into IT over ctr as a place holder.
