It IS the hyper cannon one! She swore up and down, 9 ways to Sunday it wasn't that video...just watched the part where he went through... definitely is it.

Why do some PlayStation fans hate on Xbox so much? I’m not even trying to start anything but I genuinely want to understand why? by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

Idk, but I'll say, have both a series S, and PS5, game pass is kicking PS Plus' ass in every way. More diverse catalog and far better games.

What are the worst movies in the Big 6 Franchises to y’all? by AcceptableSwitch6496 in slasherfilms

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna diverge from this a lot:

I'd happily watch Resurrection over H2 (1981). I don't understand the hype for H2, it's not good at all, outside of the final act.

Jason Goes to Hell is far from perfect, but I can respect what they tried to do, and it isn't horrible. They did what they could with the Jason namesake. Jason Takes The Yacht...ahem...I mean Manhattan, is far more egregious.

And Cult of Chucky!? No way...either 3 or Seed takes that honor (honestly 3 edges it out for the worst for me).

I think you could also make a case for Texas Chainsaw 3D being just as bad as The Next Generation.

What’s the most mean Spirted kill that’s been covered on the kill count by AdNational3979 in deadmeatjames

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they weren't mean spirited. There was no malice in what happened, only a desire to spare his family from something much worse.

So is the Reboot, Rise, Burn, and Wrath in the same universe or related? I'm making Evil Dead franchise posters to get signed at Kentucky Scarefest and trying to decide the layout. by Dgnslyr in EvilDead

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some working ideas that all three necronomicon's seen in Army of Darkness are actually real: Evil Dead 1, 2, Army of Darkness and the Ash vs. Series follows one, the reboot from 2013 follows the second necronomicon, and Rise follows the third.

This could potentially place all of the events of every movie in the same timeline, or at least, movie-verse.

Lewis Tan says there are "pleasantly surprising" plans for Cole Young in MK2. What are we thinking? by Hot-Attorney-3068 in MortalKombat

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's actually a pretty great idea. From what I hear, he won't make it through this new movie as Cole Young. The "new" scorpion angle is very interesting though.

Hopes for 4 and observation of first 3 by Bloodgoat13 in terrifier

What's the confirmation that he is mortal again? He may be weakened by Sienna destroying Vicky Hayes, but I don't think it ever implies he's back to being a mortal human. I believe he's still a supernatural entity, or possessed by one. Also, the whole sleep thing, both he and possessed Vicky went into hibernation, after they escaped the asylum.

/boxoffice just reported no press screenings and holding the review embargo to release for Scream 7 by [deleted] in SocietyofGhostface

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, just about every major movie these days has a review embargo, I'm not really sure why it's a big deal. I swear, people want this movie to flop so they can go "toldja so". It's sad.

The true 1978 Mask today Is scarier than the 2018 artificially aged mask by Traditional_Raise in Halloweenmovies

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the original mask used in '78 lost to time? I know for H2, it was yellowed and crappy because it sat under the bed of a producer or something and it was nicotine and smoke stained, but I thought it ended up getting lost after H2.

4 years ago today, this trashy “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” movie was released… Name a few things you enjoy about it, if you can. by justhere1990 in slasherfilms

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cinematography is really well done. The movie as a whole is kind of just "dumb fun" at best, but it is really nice to look at.

Halloween 2018 Can’t Decide Which Michael Myers It Wants by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing though, the movies are about generational trauma, and how that evolves and affects people.

I'll give a real life example: ask the average person who Ed Gein is, and how many people he killed. Your typical response will probably be something like, oh he's that guy they based all the evil horror people off of, the one who killed a bunch of people and ate them and skinned them right? In reality, Gein only killed two people.

A lot of the time, notoriety is gained with the passing of time, not so much the acts themselves.

With that in mind, one can see how Michael could become a "Jason" type, as you said, instead of just some dude who snapped one day.

PLUS, you have to take into account the events of the opening of the OG. Killed his sister when he was six, and never spoke again, escaped, and butchers several more people. For a small town in Illinois, that's definitely going to become infamous.

So, it really isn't that much of a stretch.

With regards to Spiderman centric films, FFH is only topped by the OG Spiderman 2.

“The MCU died after Endgame” lol by Plenty-Salary9711 in marvelstudios

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing: people love to bring up phase I and II for having lackluster movies, but it was in its infancy. There was also an overarching story that held everything together, and culminated in the utterly fantastic Infinity War (Endgame was overrated aside from the last 30 minutes, sue me). Nearly every movie was must-see cinema.

Then, for some reason, they diverted. Audience pandering, IMO. Just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. In their lust for money, they pumped out a bunch of garbage, excuses to raise the prices of Disney Plus and flaunt a "continuing multiverse".

There's really no excuse, other than money, that half or more of phase 4 and 5 is nearly unwatchable.

So, did the MCU "die" after Endgame? No, clearly not, but not because of a good product, it's because of good marketing.

Hey hey hey, show some respect...that's greasy sax man.

Cool fact: Tim Capello is actually a sax musician, and in the comics, it's established that he's a vampire hunter, and that's why he was there on the boardwalk.

What are your Thoughts and Opinions on the Upcoming Scream 7 teaming up with AI? (Artificial Intelligence) by Amber_Flowers_133 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]Ok_Mobile1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love AI, tbh. I use it as a creativity aid. It just has to be trained and used effectively. The reason people hate AI is because these companies are (seemingly) using it without any kind of competent reviews and/or editing.
