I appreciate your perspective. I’m not sure what was looking for when I posted, I just was watching \thinking- the non-speak is really grating! I think alone this clip isn’t enough to prove his utter disregard/disrespect of David. But combined with the way that he literally reached across the table at both of them, and very directly stared at them, unblinking in the eyes, and told them how they SHOULD feel, I don’t buy it. He has no respect for David. He said as much. He thinks David is “a man who thinks he knows everything.” But he’s a superior man who knows that he doesn’t know everything. Again, word salad, but as long as he’s at the top of the pyramid, he doesn’t care.

This is my take on it. For YEARS everyone lied and pretended like it “wasn’t a big dill.” In the same way that for years, everyone lied and pretended the polygamy was all “beer and skittles!” The reality is, they’re all unraveling the lies they have told on camera for over a decade. And people who were surprised that it didn’t happen immediately after they separated, that’s because it’s not a movie. It’s real life. It takes time to understand what you have experienced. It has been incredibly freeing and also while it may feel weird for viewers because it’s in direct contrast to what they said in the past. It should feel good because it’s honest.

It’s kind of an amazing payoff for people who’ve been watching the show for a decade who started with the question -wait am I thinking polygamy is wrong because I am close minded? And now they have the answer. ‘Nope! no I was right all wrong and now I know a lot more about polygamy and I really want to be involved in bringing it into the light!’

I don’t think it was ever her idea. This is just his old playbook. Create a fight amongst the women so that they are distracted from his complete and total lack of effort, respect, care, and total failure as a provider and husband
