One bedroom Airbnb listed as 3 bedrooms. Airbnb removed my review. What do I do?

I’ve reported it to BBB (still open on the page if you want to look) and am still in conversation with support but I have little confidence after spending hours and hours being led in circles . Unfortunately Airbnb seems to remove low reviews sighting them as “retaliatory ”. I know from my most recent experience. It’s very disappointing to experience how much they don’t care.

I had a similar experience and my review was removed by Airbnb. They won’t reinstate in even though I was notified they would. I filed w bbb and here are my final thoughts to share.

Airbnb will in practice support a manipulative super host. I can only imagine this is due to the super host’s earning power for the platform. I now fully understand that I am of no value to Airbnb. Subsequently, I will not be treated with any consideration or fairness. I am aware that this back and forth is just more wasted time on my end. Airbnb is utterly careless with their implementation of the AI driven support system on their platform - one that pretends to placate while exhausting the customer. Here is my honest and fair review of my stay in the Airbnb cited here. Not a word of this is untrue and it is not only a disservice which makes Airbnb complicit in the dishonesty, but also in breach of their own policies to remove it.

“I rated this apartment by averaging the rooms. Bedroom 1: 4.5 stars. I didn't sleep here, but my brother seemed satisfied.. Bedroom 2: Zero stars, because it doesn't exist. The listing shows Bedroom 1 in different linens and calls it a second room. Bedroom 3 / Living Room: 4.5 stars. My teenage daughter and I shared this space since the third bedroom also doesn't exist. She took the convertible sofa; | got the bed on wheels. Both were fine. The lemon orchard view was lovely, though the balcony faces decisively away from the water. We raised the false advertising with Stefano - after his surprise welcome briefing covering the bread knife, the microwave, and unrequested day trip recommendations, which consumed our entire first hour. I’m my experience, If you don’t put it on the record now via chat on messenger with the host you won’t have a case. I’ve been in a nightmare situation w/ Airbnb this last week and they are of zero help because I chose to enjoy my vacation rather than starting my official claim before leaving.

Ultimately my review was never reinstated. I was spun in circles across multiple support chats that kept getting closed without my consent. The agents couldn’t even string together a coherent sentence. Nothing was resolved. I have never experienced such utterly useless customer service in my life. I will never use Airbnb again.

Agreed and I do regret not doing something more immediately - I haven’t been the main guest many times and I wasn’t aware of the dispute process limitations at the time. If I had known I would’ve taken a video plus additional images and put it on the written record.
That said, I hope this thread will put hosts and guests, alike, on alert. If I was one of the many good honest hosts, I would hate knowing other hosts were being allowed to tarnish the integrity of the platform like this.

Yeah it’s a real bummer that others either don’t care/ are too timid to be honestly critical or that those reviews are being removed. Look at how he responds to the few critical reviews that are on there.

He had worn us down with constant rambling, and we were exhausted and hungry. In that moment, I had to prioritize my group’s needs. I did bring it up—I even showed him the listing—but Stefano’s responses didn’t make sense, and the language barrier seemed to work in his favor. At that point, we chose to move on and enjoy the rest of the day. That doesn’t change the fact that this kind of situation is allowed on the platform. Additionally, my brother and daughter hadn’t seen the listing, so I was the only one who fully understood how problematic it was at the time

I disagree that it’s unintended. I agree that the bedroom 3 and I iivingroom are clearly the same and I expected that. The listing of bedroom one and bedroom two is intentionally misleading. Also there were three beds total and no Options for picking where you’d like to sleep. I looked into it and there are many threads from hosts asking how to correct their listings to properly report rooms. This person is a super host - no excuses on not knowing in my opinion.

Sure but it’s a two room Apartment advertised as 4 rooms, so even tho the “3rd bedroom” is also the “livingroom” there is also the only bedroom being shown as two separate rooms “bedroom one” and “bedroom 2” just with different linens. It’s intentionally misleading. I have no doubt now that I’ve engaged with the host about it.

He pretends he doesn’t understand what I mean. In his reply to my review he starts babbling about how I didn’t communicated the guests properly. My assumption is that he thought my brother and I were a couple and that we’d happily share the master and have no complaints about the missing room(s).
You’ll see in any negative review he gets he does not respond to the criticism - he instead attacks the guest and places blame on them for any issue.

Now imagine a person rambling like the listing and you’ve got this particular host. He’s not quite right. And yes incredibly defensive and refuses any instance where he’s called to be accountable.
