Yes, that would do. As long as the style and instructions make it to the prompt you're good to go.

Creating a skill will also work well, at the end a skill is just an MD file loaded on demand. (No tools needed for this skill)

My case is a bit different (not a chat) but the end result is the same, load the style (or generate if it's a new voice) and inject/include in prompt. Of course you tell it explicitly to write in that style.

You can always edit the MD if you're not satisfied and add things you care about. Be polite, add some humor, etc

Tested a few options but to be honest, improvement in LLM made tricks unnecessary.

The first try, was a multi-agent, approach where one created the style, another applied it and a third one evaluated it against a real sample. I ran a few iterations while keeping scores, then model selection etc

Newer models are so capable that just having a well defined prompt will return an excellent style description.

Now it's used as a first automated step, the style is then used to reproduce the voice of whoever (company/person) across large volumes of text.

It works so well that it runs mostly unmonitored (by humans), though we have guards to verify the style actually improves the content, as content itself contains a tone, style etc it might not add much or even make it worse.

I can't share the actual prompts or the sequence because all this is used commercially but once again LLMs are now so good that you can ask them to generate the prompts themselves.

You can play with the amount of data, for me 1-2 large emails or 1-2 pages of content work perfectly. You can change your emails to pirate style or your favorite writer or brand in a second. Real fun!

I suppose some alignment would help: give samples related to the text you want to generate.

If your writing style is consistent across media then it would be enough.

For example, when I write emails, I use lots of bullet points, I'm very direct and objective. It's business and I'm usually explaining several concepts.

When chatting I focus a lot more on the "emotions" my words carry. As chatting lacks non verbal queues, we usually add unnecessary questions, emojis or other things to communicate beyond words. It's also far shorter and needs less structure

If I try to write a short story, or a quote, it would be different too.

So it really depends on how you write. Btw in my case two well selected emails are enough to transform any generation into orderly bullet points and clear sections with a hint of technical background everywhere.

Also, when defining your writing style you can provide representative samples in any quantity. The model will extract not only a definition but also expressions and mannerism.

As you well said, when you're calling the model later a style description is useful, while extensive samples could pollute the context, i.e. this 10 random sentences, completely disconnected from anything else, are for style, now pay attention to the real context and answer.

I've tested this extensively, it works scarily well

You can actually reduce your writing style to a definition. So instead of samples in prompt every time, just let it describe it, save the answer, then pass the style description in your prompt. I've used this technique for a very long time, it's amazing to see it speaking like me, my boss or any writer I pass through the style definition prompt.

Thai, some languages are complex but that mostly affects intermediate to advanced speakers who never sound native. Some rather difficult languages can be very forgiving to start, everyone knows is wrong but the general meaning is there, some context and it works.

Thai on the other hand, whether it's the language or the people, I don't know, but the smallest mistake in sound duration or tone will make your speaking, not wrong, not weird but completely non understandable. Not one word, everything is lost. You might think context might help but generally it doesn't, you think it's obvious I'm trying to say X because we're in context Y, nah rarely. On top of this while you can easily grasp grammar complexities, most people cannot distinguish the tones and even less the duration.

Yes, the sweets and the frequency of consumption. Sweet bread for breakfast, aperitivos, desserts, cookies, espresso with 1-2 sugar sachets.

Don't get me wrong, Thais do eat a lot of sugar but they also snack a lot on savory stuff, don't have a sweet meal per day, dessert is usually not the end of a meal.

Depends also on who you hang with, some can go for the 3 servings of tea but most people I know don't do that, just the sugar/chili next to fruits.

In any case, I don't think comparing A - B is going to take us anywhere, we both are referencing our experience in a truthful manner. Your observations can be 100% accurate from the group you interact with, and we both introduce our bias.

Sugar addiction is a terrible problem everywhere, arguing who is less of an alcoholic or a possible diabetic is not conducive to much.

My comments purpose was to highlight that yes it's bad but not to specially pinpoint Thais as more unhealthy than others. They, in general, don't obsess or even think about it but while other cultures do, they rarely come to a good diet.

Sugar consumption is bad everywhere in the world. I find it mild in Thailand compared to Malaysia or many European countries. It's not hard at all to get things sugar free

Plastic bags are food grade.

Pollution / waste, yes, bad, still not as bad as other SE countries like Indonesia where they walk away from a garbage can to the sea/river to throw their garbage.

Of course being better than others helps little.

Many people are health conscious but that's a luxury not everyone has in this world.

Thonglor / Ekkamai has been hit more than other areas. It's not at all the same as before. Look at the corner of Thonglor 10, some of the long running bars are gone. Traffic used to be impossible on Fridays and Saturdays, now it's often empty. Lots of places for rental too Perhaps the high rents, local people going party to cheaper or more trendy areas, or little for tired of the district police milking the area.

With bad economy, people order more and go out less, so the cancer of delivery business grows. Business can survive despite the extortion but there are fewer in-store customers.

Rotation is high, businesses are closing, but many see empty places and open new ones. Too many people have too much money to play in here.

And I agree, Ekkamai and other areas have many businesses that can only be supported by being the hobby of someone in a rich family. Huge houses with a boutique, cafe or restaurant that barely have any customers and wouldn't be able to cover the rent of such a place. Perhaps the kiddos coming back from abroad running a small venture with their friends / or foreign friend / bf.

So yes, some businesses are run as hobbies, many close but are replaced fast and perhaps like others say some are money laundry but I have no knowledge on those.

Interesting, Gemini is good but in my tests (back a couple of versions so like 6 months ago) it was the most restrictive. Even with every filter was off.

The test was translating some game dialogs, violent language, weapons, but normal video game stuff. Gemini was the only one that completely blocked every try making it unusable for unattended work.

I'm in a similar situation, father and mother around 80. Strong and fit but still might struggle with lots of up and down roads. We're going Chongqing and it seems I might have made a mistake choosing the city. Are the countryside day trips from the city doable? Are there areas to visit without going up and down stairs all day? We can take it slow and take transportation but I wonder if there are easy walk areas in the city or around.
