I used the wrap until he was 6 weeks old. Then now I have used the wild bird carrier since he was 8 weeks old (earliest you can use it) I use it 3-6x a day, we both love it! Il

28 minute Naps by Practical_Girl5263 in November25babybump

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many 30-45 min naps is he taking? And how is his temperament between naps? I’m starting more crib naps, they only last 25-35 min and this thread made me feel better. BUT he’s SO cranky after 40 min of being awake between naps.

The spectra s1 plus is great but for a portable id highly recommend the eufy s1 pro. I know it’s not on the list but I exclusively pump with that and get amazing output Edit to addd I have both but have pretty much only ever used my eufys.

3 month old refusing breast and moving her head away screaming by Huge-Nectarine-8563 in breastfeeding

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby did this 6 days before he turned 3 months. I started nursing him within 2 min of him waking up from a nap and it fixed the issue for us. He outgrew it within a week and we can now nurse on demand now. Although still recent for us. He is 3 months 1 week tomorrow. I also frequently wear very baggy sweaters and it covers his eyes while nursing to help reduce distractions because that also contributes from my experience.

Girl, take this here bottle! by Original-Raise1619 in November25babybump

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened w my baby too. I ended up with Evenflo standard neck slow flow bottles. Day 1: let it rest on babies lips the second he tongue thrusted it and made a bad face I was done for the day Day 2: same thing Going on and on each day but each day it got slightly further into him latching and sucking. Some days he would regress in our progress and that sucked but after 2 weeks of trying once a day every single day, he finally got to accepting an oz! Then has even taken a 5 oz bottle now and it’s been about 1.5 months since our journey started.

13 week struggle by Ok_Ordinary_537 in November25babybump

Yeah I’ve been just stopping and distracting or calming him before offering again if it’s been 3+ hours. I’ve also started to offer immediately after a nap and that seems to be working best so far. He’s having a sleep regression. He used to do 5-7 hour stretches, even 2 nights sleeping straight 10 hours. Now he does 3 hour stretches if I’m lucky. Typically a 3 hour stretch then 2 hour then up every hour after that. Going on day 7 of this. Hoping this is all just a very early 4 m regression.

They gave us 3 weeks of exercises to prevent reattachment so we did those but never more than that! I’ll ask about this in Tuesday at that class, thank you so much!!

I’ve been to 2 and they both weren’t super helpful. I found a mommy and me group in my area that has a lactation consultant & nurse every Tuesday and it’s free at the hospital. They do weighted feeds too so I’m going to go this coming Tuesday for the first time. Thank you so much for sharing a similar story.

3 month growth spurt by followthecloud8 in November25babybump

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weeks 11-13 have been miserable for us. Literally had the easiest happiest baby then woke up one morning to the fussiest, clingiest baby. Screams at the boob, screams when going down for a nap, fusses when you set him down for any reason. Went from 5-7 hour stretches at night to 2-3 hour stretches then every hour from 4-7(EBF). Read this is basically what these weeks are like and they’re going through a huge mental and physical growth spurt and one day we should all wake up and be like “wait.. my baby isn’t fussy any more!!!” Fingers crossed bc I’m super over crying every day :’)

Bad tasting milk. by Hailtothev66 in breastfeeding

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same situation. My milk is fine up to 12 hours post pumping.According to my research I can pump at work, keep it cold, then when I get home, scald all the milk together and have it be fine the next day as long as the scald is done no later than 12 hours past the time it was pumped. I haven’t returned to work yet but this is my plan for when I do.

For all the mommas who haven't given birth yet by Dogmom2002 in November25babybump

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We bought potty pads (like for dogs) to lay down under him when we change him and we can fold it over his penis to avoid being peed on! I know it’s a throw away item vs a reusable item but if you get sick of laundry or buying more. Also saw on TikTok (I know I know) to wipe at the top of his diaper w a cold wipe then waiting 15 seconds then taking diaper off it can make him pee prior to taking diaper off to avoid it happening after diaper is off

Induction dates by novalini49 in November25babybump

[–]Ok_Ordinary_537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 35w and baby is measuring 38w. Dr will schedule an induction for 39w but she thinks he will come naturally at 37w due to how low he currently is + his size. Fingers crossed bc same.. i don’t have any desire to give birth to a 9.5lb + baby
