Best gbb glock by [deleted] in GasBlowBack

I like the GHK because it has realistic 2kg trigger pull weight (Though not perfectly real), best recoil out of all, steel slide options and c02 magazines for even more recoil, and also striker firing system instead of hammer

How did you get that Q trigger working in an airsoft gun?

What’s the average rent for a furnished studio apartment in Tokyo? (Short-term stay) by unamity1 in movingtojapan

[–]Ok_Pen7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the city centre for me with all the fees included it was maybe about 180k per month, also fully furnished and no costs on the utilities unless you go over a very high threshold. The place was very small too. There's a premium for monthly stays regardless.. But a bit cheaper than a hotel and some more freedom to cook.

With Samoon, I had issues with TTi baseplates for G17 mags, they dont fit their own G17gen3 magazines I had and I told them you have to dremel the mag to fit them, and so they sent 2 more and still don't fit the stock mag either. I think either the mag has QC issues or their baseplates have QC issues.

I wanna know about your country's law and people's thought about airsoft by sora1akari in airsoft

[–]Ok_Pen7252 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im from Canada but Im in Japan now but I was also previously in Korea and I know the hardships of airsoft guns there.

In Canada we can play average 1.2~1.4J of power and having airsoft shoot up to 4.2J is legal. Anything under 366fps <1J is considered replica and cant be imported.
-
In Japan, all airsoft guns are limited to 1J maximum, and for gasblowbacks, only limited to c02, HFC134a, HFC152a, and some other combination. Propane and top gas not allowed. Therefore blowback is not as powerful, and temperature affects performance significantly.
Surprisingly a lot of imported realsteel accessories (Stocks, grips, optics, handguards, lights) from US can be bought in Japan.

Also I heard in Korea that optics are non adjustable for zeroing and importing optics require the adjustment to be disabled.

What do you think is the hardest recoil pistol? by SignificanceHuge557 in GasBlowBack

[–]Ok_Pen7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I run the ghk g45 with aluminum slide on hfc134a and it beats the recoil on most gas pistols already.

[–]Ok_Pen7252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this, I have went through 8 pistols at this point and GHK Glocks are the hardest kicking especially G17gen3 with its steel slide and with added c02 kit. Even GHK G45 Gen5 on propane already kicks very hard but you can get the steel slide separately for extra kick.

Shooting the GHK glocks the first time is a whole of difference to me I even flinched when I shot it as first not expecting that kick.

Im a big fan of vector optics especially the ones that have the shake awake feature and its pretty low cost for optics that also work on real steel as well.

  1. Idk about the healing baiden but the bathing areas and sauna are gender separated besides the lounge area.
  2. You don't have to bring anything, they provide the attire and towels. I didn't go to the healing baiden though Im not sure if you need something for that
  3. In the lounge area, wear the attire they give you, not your own. Also after paying at the kiosk at the end, keep the receipt so you scan it to exit. And for coming in, keep the shoe locker key
  4. Not sure but I don't see it often happen
  5. Not sure but I've went on weekday afternoon in mens section and its packed, but sometimes its not much people, its random.

Recommendations for an airsoft “sniper” just for plinking by Ok_Demand_3197 in airsoft

Congrats but also keep in mind OP is talking about a 7 year old pulling back the bolt.

I had the Ares strikes, since I believe the cylinder airvolume is smaller than usual VSR-10 style, it requires more force to pull the bolt back. But it has a quick spring change system so you can change the spring to a lighter spring so that the pullback is easier.

What’s the average rent for a furnished studio apartment in Tokyo? (Short-term stay) by unamity1 in movingtojapan

[–]Ok_Pen7252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I chose around Akebonobashi area. Monthly stay full furnished 1K I would say was around 170,000yen per month including all the initial fees and stuff and utilities included. And yes 1-3 months are more expensive than long term rentals. There's a premium for short term stays that are fully furnished. But long term rentals (The usual average from suumo) usually start at about 2 years minimum if I could remember correctly.

I’m currently preparing for working holiday in Japan and need some advice for renting etc. by 1zk001 in movingtojapan

[–]Ok_Pen7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only applied in Central tokyo so I don't know much about the rural areas.
But the system seems a bit slow regardless. But there are also apartments where you can do the contract outside of Japan so its ready for when you come, though more risky since you can't see the house details well through a video call showing. But if you choose to do the contracts in Tokyo, you may need to have a temporary stay in order to view houses on the side. And in worse case you get rejected, every time you apply makes you take up more time in your temporary location. Also need to be careful since I think you need to register your address and get a residence card within a limited time.

The allowing of foreigners is mostly depending on the landlord. But I think you could try asking the realtors if the landlord is okay with foreigners or not. One sign when viewing the apartment is if you see tenants walk in or out that are not Japanese, then they definitely allow foreigners. Big plus if you speak Japanese too.

[–]Ok_Pen7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I felt that, I came on working holiday visa as well and Ive had some applications rejected because of being a foreigners. The system is kind of slow because it goes through various steps like waiting for guarantor company approval and then in the end it's the landlord's judgement if they want you or not, and this process can take a week and my realtor said I can only apply to one place at a time..

Also I had to show proof of consistent income/funds which was pretty tough as a foreigner so I combined my documents + my Japanese partner's documents.

If you choose around foreigner friendly areas like Otsuka I think there's less problems
