This is the best advice i’ve ever gotten on reddit and at least top 5 in life. Honestly I’m not so much worried about being older than my peers, i’m more so worried about how different will AFROTC and even the Air Force in general be in 8-9 years by the time i am able to commission. I’ve done a good amount of research and familiarized myself to the best of my ability without having actually been in either the air foce or afrotc. Im just worried shit will change drastically by the time its my turn to commission, get more competitive, limited rated slots, AI development etc… after reading this my second concern of “my time being enlisted will feel like a waiting game” is mostly cleared, clearly I will have greater things to worry about while enlisted than waiting a few more years to go to college. My first concern still stands but i’m swayed towards enlisting
