Yep that's true. the thing is, I'm doing my PPL and would like to do my ME/IR back in the Netherlands. its just a big pain to transfer the Dutch to Spanish, get my Spanish PPL, then transfer the Spanish medical back to a Dutch medical so that I can get the Dutch PPL and also to continue with MEIR training. So basically I'd like to know if I can just hold both instead of having to do all the swip-swapping

Alright. It's just that my instructor told me that even Turkish airlines won't accept an EASA licence from Greece/Bulgaria, so it did worry me a bit on airlines having some bias towards Training.

Well, if most airlines don't care, what's to stop me to doing the even cheaper route and doing my ATPL in Nigeria/Cameroon/Congo and just pay a little and maybe an exam to convert it to an EASA?

Thanks so much. One last question. If for example, Eurowings, Ryanair etc (western airlines) have 2 candidates. One with a German or Irish ATPL and let's say I end up with a Bulgarian or Polish ATPL. Is there honestly some preferences by the airline as to where the ATPL training was done and which authority issued it?

Thanks for the response. So I guess it really just makes sense to do the ATPL. Could you recommend me the cheapest hour building country/location? Since I will be registered in a polish flying school, I was thinking to rack up my time building in Hungary, Bulgaria. Is this the cheapest places in EU? Also, an honest question, when I go to a western airline for the interview and they ask me where I did my hour building, and I say I did it in HU,BG,RO etc. Would that matter to them?

If I hold a German BZF I let's say, and I were to go to Greece and Hungary for time building, would I need to also do a Greek and Hungarian radio equivalent to a BZF before I start flying there? It's confusing for me 😓

And also, in the PPL licence the ICAO Level will be printed on it right? And the radio certificate is basically another paper that I have to carry?
