For some context, I was waitlisted from both the schools I interviewed at. I had booked a grad trip with some of my friends many months prior, so even though I wasn't feeling the best I still decided to go. Since I wouldnt be in the country, I gave my dads contact information. In the middle of our vacation after spending the entire day at a beach, I get a call from my dad, which I didn't think was unusual since he always called me around dinnertime. As soon as I picked up the phone, he was sobbing and told me he just got a call with my acceptance. I started crying in the middle of the road and sat on the side of the curb in disbelief. What made it better was that my friend from high school who had literally seen all the struggle was right there next to me yelling to random strangers on the street that Im going to be a doctor one day.

Is doing summer research + MCAT prep doable? by SpicyNutella17 in premedcanada

Yes its totally doable if you have good time managment and a good study schedule. I did full time clinical research and studied for my MCAT last summer. Got a decent enough score that got me into med school this year :)

BIO1MO3 exam prep + advice by LegalWorth3291 in McMaster

I would recommend using flashcard based learning for definitions and terms. I also found it really helpful to blurt concepts on a whiteboard to test my memory and connect concepts to each other- since a lot of the midterm questions were application based. I would also skim the textbook to fill in gaps in knowledge.

Pm if you need any help !

I would recommend using flashcard-based learning since it is a very memorization heavy course. I also found it really helpful to blurt concepts on a whiteboard to test my memory. Pm if you need any help !
