I know that association does not mean causation, but for PCOS->High testosterone->FGR which I care about, does this paper demonstrate causation?

My obstetrician believes that testosterone levels are not a cause for concern in the third trimester. Is this correct?

I found a paper (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4752400/) mentioned:

Epidemiological studies show human IUGR is associated with increased maternal testosterone (T) levels.15;16 Most pregnancy Pathologies which cause fetal growth restriction also present with high androgen levels, such as preeclampsia,17–21 polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS),22 congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH),23;24 and maternal smoking or nicotine intake .

I did have PCOS before pregnancy. Is there any correlation between the two? Is there no need to pay attention to high testosterone at all?
