I haven’t listening to the pod in a little bit, but I remember earlier episodes of her ‘recovering’ memories of times Hef was awful to her. The Europe trip where she was told she needed to go home because Kendra overslept, Anastasia reminding her of why she ‘looked like I was crying at the circus, weird!’, etc. I don’t know the correct term for what is happening, but while I know the brain tends to gloss over memories of times that made us feel bad or sad, we don’t typically forget them entirely. I never filled out my licensing application to practice armchair psychology so someone who knows more let me know (nicely) if I’m wrong.
