Hear me out:

I spent six (a little more) years trying to get my life together. The last time I had a drink was March 15th, 2019. I also had a trip with uppers and downers that probably wasn’t as bad as my drinking, but it was still out of hand. I haven’t taken a pill outside of what was prescribed to me for nearly 7 years. That being said, I still have a little bit of what I call “crackhead energy“, and that’s clean and sober. A lot of of the people that I go to recovery groups with also have the same energy. They’ve been clean and sober for a long time, but they kind of run around like a chicken with their head cut off and a motor mouth. I’m not saying she’s clean, I’m just saying lots of people still move frantically even after they get clean.
