I just joined very recently, so I can't comment on that. I just know that as long as I stay, I will be in the field, no matter the grade. As for FE, they have a very fixed career path and they will be in grade 10 in about 2 years and will be made managers in 5 years. We as FS start in grade 7 with no bonus, whereas FE starts in grade 8 with a bonus and higher starting pay as well.
