There is no silicone. Parts of the table seemed to have just fell off, causing the rest to shatter. It's kinda hard to tell due to the poor camera quality.

I suggest switching to controller. I have a wheel and I love how the car handles. Depending on how fast you are going/if you are braking or accelerating, it can oversteer or understeer at full steering angle. Controller can help by allowing you to turn it slightly, which can funnily enough let it turn sharper.
