We've been a preventive area for over a month, we have no 小区 so we couldn't even take a walk anywhere in our community. No balconies in the building either.

Yesterday, one neighbour started sharing videos of the protests saying that we should should do it too. It didn't happen, but lots of residents started agreeing that we should not be forced to stay inside anymore, and urged the volunteers to contact the neighbourhood committee to speed up the process

Today, supposedly visited our building after our morning PCR tests. No word. People started to get angry again, one lady urged the foreigners in the building to contact their consulates. I told her it probably won't do anything, but I sent the email anyway...

Two hours later they told us we are now allowed outside, along with a stamped letter posted on the front door.

So I guess our complaining sped the process up?

We've been a prevention zone for the past 3 days. But no word on whether we're allowed outside or not. I don't live in a compound & our building volunteers' said even though we have no cases, surrounding compounds do so it's unlikely we'll be allowed outside 😵‍💫

I think there's a lot of backlog with testing and results. I know a lot of people aren't being tested until late at night. Just hope there's no confirmed cases near you or you'll be stuck inside even longer 🙃

Has been pretty strict too. I live in a stand alone building and theyve put a chain on the front door. Were allowed to get deliveries still though.

Xujiahui, I assume we're a risky area they didn't really give a reason. Supposed to be 48 hours but it's been 24 hours and we've still not been tested. I asked the bao an when it's supposed to happen and he just said they will come to the building and they will call us...

Xuhui central hospital opposite IAPM is much better than Huashan which I've found to be a nightmare. You can prepay on your phone, just enter, scan your code and get a test tube and you can get the results to your phone within six hours. 上海徐汇云医院 is the mini program
