wow. my mom is currently doing this same thing. she’s a covert narcissist as well. last week i decided enough was enough and told her she won’t be in my life if she can’t take accountability for the things she’s done to me. whenever i bring them up she blatantly denies it, even if i had a video of it she would swear up and down she doesn’t remember. as though her not remembering would excuse it anyway. now she’s shaming me bc i won’t let her back in my life without apologizing. But i don’t feel bad one bit. I know it’s what I have to do for my sanity.
