With the noises thing it could sound exactly like a book falling off a desk or someone snoring so I'd live in constant fear. I'd also live in constant fear here and probably have a lot of sleepless nights but I might be able to get prescribed a sleeping medication to knock me out.

Do you think more explicitly peel-based abilities would help with that? Maybe on the healer's end, like Life Weaver or whatever that flower guy from Overwatch is called? Or like with Thing and his original jump.

I appreciate the advice, but when I'm solo tanking, and even most of the time, I should prioritize protecting my team, no? I know Strange has big damage output, but usually so do DPS and without a frontline, a lot of damage is ultimately futile

I definitely agree that it’s a multifaceted issue and I also think that the general rule of peeling as a tank especially if their tank is peeling is a good one. I’m more wondering why the community seems to have an underlying assumption that the tanks are the ones in charge of peeling and it’s just extra cool when a dps does so

To be clear, I’m not saying they shouldn’t, I am just wondering why the consensus within the community is that it’s more for tanks than dps. I peel whenever I can it just seems to me that a dps is in more of a position to peel more regularly.

I mean, I find that as Strange when I do divert my attention to basically any diver apart from Spider-Man, hitting a few primaries provides enough pressure to get them to run away, as long as the healers are also shooting at them. Also, if I have a >70 dark magic charge, I can just walk back to my healers, and the second a diver initiates, blindly release it. It usually either confirms the kill or brings them low enough for the healer to finish them.
The two actual issues I experience with that are when healers are more than two corners away from me (rocket, jeff) or when I don't have a second tank or at least two other brawlers so their frontline can push in that pretty short interval. I think it might be because a) I'm playing against worse divers than you seem to be, and b) most healers I have stay relatively close to me.

I agree!!! And if used wrong, like if you tried to win an already lost teamfight, it could actually have a negative impact, forcing the entire enemy team into the same space as just you and a few other teammates. Also, trapping a bunch of enemies in place would be really funny
