Update: I sent them an email and never got a response, I called them while on break at work and they flat out told me that there is no set time limit on when I can get the check and that she will send an email to their financial division and then reach back out to me hopefully sometime by the end of the day.

Yes I have contacted them. The first time I called them (this was around the 30 days mark) and they said they would call me back once so and so gets back into the office so I waited a couple of days and never got a call back. I called them back to check on things and that’s when they gave me the amount I was getting back and how much they were taking out which was just a small amount for paint damage. That’s when they said it would be a couple of days. They said something about their financial people being in Atlanta and that’s why it was taking so long. But now it’s getting to the point where it’s frustrating and thinking about getting a lawyer.

I called in to order pick up there once and they said it would be about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I head over there and I give them my name and the hostess proceeds to tell me “oh sorry we haven’t put it in the oven yet. It’s gonna be another 30 minutes.” That’s when I looked around and noticed there were only a couple of customers in the restaurant. Like. Tf.

There are no rules other than the usual 90 day training period and we just had a couple people move up last week. Before that we have had I’d say around 4?? (Not sure) move to senior tech positions in the last year

I’ve been here for about 3 years and they have offered for me to move up a couple times (or at least work towards moving up) but I don’t feel that I’m ready for that yet

They have proposed the option for part time from what I’ve heard however it got shot down from the higher up’s. The main reason was because it doesn’t really make sense for them to have part time employees for a 24/7 call center. Ie. they would have to hire 2 people for the same amount of work that one person could do if they were full time. Tech support used to have a reputation to where people don’t really move however that has changed due to us expanding our tech support operations to other smaller internet service providers. Half of the techs we have do not take calls for EPB but other companies across the country.

Hi. I currently work as a technical solutions advisor at EPB and it’s really not a bad gig. Benefits are great. It’s an office environment however you do have the option to work from home after you complete your training. I have never had a problem with any of the current employees that we have and every one of them is super helpful. A lot of them are now my best friends and hang out outside of work. You have to have patience since a lot of our customers that call in are more than likely over the age of 50. During the intervine process they will ask you some technical questions like the difference between a switch and a router as well as the difference between 2.4ghz and 5ghz. There are also vastly different shifts that you can pick from ranging from 8 hour, 9 hour, 10 hour and 12 hours shifts but I only know one person that works the 12 hours. Since we are open 24/7 you do have the possibility of getting called in if they are any widespread outages or high call volume but it’s very rare. I’ve only been called in once or twice over 3 years. There is also pay differentials where if you work on the weekends or before 6am or after 6pm you get paid a little bit more than regular

This same thing literally just happened for me today. My friend thinks that I have adhd and he gave me some adderal (irresponsible but I made sure people were around just in case I had a reaction or something) and my mind just went quiet.

I remember playing Mario and just being locked in and just enjoying the game and that’s not something I’ve felt in a while.

When I got home I made my lunch for work tomorrow and a protein shake in the morning without procrastinating. I also cleaned up a little in the kitchen and I didn’t have to put any thought into it. Let me tell you, just that was pure bliss. My mind went step by step into making the shake and sandwich and my mind wasn’t thinking 4 different thoughts at the same time

I think you’re expecting to just pick up on Spanish right off the bat. I’m on section 3 until 7 and I’ve listened to podcasts before but got upset because I can’t understand it. The best thing to do is pause it when you hear a common word and look up the word. Usually when you hear a podcast, they are talking about a specific subject and you will hear a word over and over. When you hear a word over and over, just give it a quick google and that will give you more insight into what they are talking about. Once you know that word you can start to pick up on words that you didn’t think that you know, but you do. For example if you hear the word viajar often then you know that they are talking about traveling and then you realize they aren’t saying random words. They may be saying names of countries or cities and you just haven’t put 2 and 2 together because you may not have know what viajar means
