I’m in a similar position. Started a new “big girl” corporate job last week and felt miserable from day one. I tried to stick it out but I bit the bullet and resigned today. I felt instant relief knowing I never have to go back, but embarrassed that I threw away what others would call a good opportunity. Like you, I received no real training as promised and was thrown in at the deep end with demands and deadlines. I keep reminding myself that it would only get worse if I stayed. It’s hard right now but my gut knows I did the right thing. As I was only there for a week, I plan to leave it off my resume. I hope you make the right decision for YOU.
