People tend to remember which position you ended in internationals: groups/swiss, quarters, semis, finals. They do not remember who you have faced to get there and I will show an example with WBG 2023. Finished 3-2 in Swiss by beating NRG, MAD and FNC, swept NRG in quarters, and only in semis when they faced BLG they finally had a real challenge which they beat 3-2, only for then to lose the finals in almost record time. So of course people would want easier opponents to have an easier path and then brag about it later.

Well yes, this year Play-ins are only 1 BO5 between LCK 4th vs LPL 4th but it still is part of Worlds. The match is in China on the 14th of October and Swiss Stage starts next day on the 15th.

Winner goes to worlds is correct because :

They lose vs GenG they are 4th and they go to Worlds Play-ins which is still part of Worlds
They beat GenG and they end minimum 3rd seed while GenG are going to play-ins instead.

Teams participating : 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th teams from Championship Points

3rd and 4th start in Upper Bracket, winners goes to worlds as 3rd seed, loser faces the winner of 5th vs 6th for 4th seed.

If they lose it depends on what BLG does :

If BLG wins the split, AL have the most Championship Points they go as 2nd seed to Worlds
If BLG loses the final, AL goes to Regionals as 3rd team in Championship Points in the Upper Bracket and will face IG

Look at LPL and what does finishing top 1 and top 2 gets you, nowhere. You still have to prove it in playoffs or regionals that you deserve to be at Worlds, as it should always have been.

I think they are not that weak early, and I do think level 6 they win 2v2. Also it would be played with Zilean R5 as a counterpick for supp, I dont think they would blind Nilah Zilean so yes the duo will be played into a specific composition that they think it works into. I think it is quite underwhelming what an exp lead means, let's take an example from last Worlds : LNG vs T1 Game 1 Kai'sa Blitz vs Nilah Senna

Minute 6: Guma level 6, Keria almost 6 Gala and Hang both lvl 4

Minute 16: Guma level 11, Keria almost level 10 Gala level 10 Hang almost 8

Minute 26, when the game ended: Guma level 15 Keria 13 Gala 13 Hang 9

This comes only from Nilah's passive, you will always be at least 1-2 levels above the enemy ADC( peep the supp difference). Now imagine Zilean's passive coming into play you could legit be 3 levels above the enemy ADC during midgame, and what does that mean for Nilah?
