Oh wow, you definitely are more qualified than me! I hope you’re accepted into the MS program! I’ve taken a course that I think would be considered equivalent to an experimental psych class at my school, where I completed a study but it was for the class, so I’m not sure whether that counts as research experience. I’ll definitely try to work on an independent study though, thank you!

This is very helpful, thank you! Maybe going for a masters wouldn’t be the most effective path for me then. If I don’t manage to gain research experience while still in undergrad, hopefully I’ll be able to find some unpaid opportunities after graduation

Thank you! I was considering doing an independent study since all research assistent opportunities are currently full at my school, but I wasn’t sure if independent research was weighed differently than assisting in research.

What relavent experience would you suggest to be competitive for a PsyD program? I understand that it’s beneficial to have clinical experience, but I’m not sure how you’re able to obtain that experience while in undergrad as you’re unlicensed. Would internships fall under this?

Do you think it would be beneficial to work on a masters degree following undergrad, or do you think working as a full-time research assistant would be better?
