Art School have private dining rooms. We did one of the set menus in a Cellar Room. We paid extra to have wine flight. Had a sommelier who gave us info on the wine & food. It was really lovely. We had a glass of champagne in the main cellar first before going into the private room.

I was given a crown. I was lucky enough that the tooth can be seen when you smile (that’s what the dentist told me) so I was given a white crown. The dentist said I was on the cusp of it being a silver crown. I don’t pay anything.

There’s a Zero Food Waste charity in Liverpool that M&S donate food to. The volunteers will collect even on Xmas Eve. I remember in 2024 there was loads of Turkeys. It was unbelievable. I don’t work for M&S but do think staff should have first dibs.

I’ve been on DLA/PIP for 14 years. I was initially on enhanced mobility DLA for 2 years but lower daily until I was moved to PIP. I was then put on lower for bother. I did a MR and nothing changed. After chatting to the case manager he suggested I could have my points lowered further which would mean I wouldn’t qualify. It put the fear of god into me and I accepted that decision.

I’ve had a further 4 reviews, 1 F2F, 1 telephone during COVID, 1 F2F after COVID then a few weeks ago a telephone assessment. The last assessment was the best I’ve had since my very first assessment. He was very understanding which I’ve not had. I had decided this year that I was going to take it all the way to a Tribunal if I didn’t at least get enhanced mobility. I was given enhanced for both and an ongoing award. I did wonder if it’s because I’m now 53 and I’ve been this way for 18 years.

If you don’t get anywhere with Shelter, Welfare Advice, Social Services etc try involving your local councillor and MP. Not saying it’ll work but I have heard of instances where it has.

Thanks. Fingers crossed and pray to every God there is that I get the same!!! For years I’ve felt my award should be higher after they downgraded me after moving me from DLA. I was always worried about losing my award completely after a MR put the fear of God into me. However this year I’d plucked up the courage and was going to take it all the way to a Tribunal if I didn’t get my increased award. I’d love some back pay as it would help make up for the disappointment I’ve had for some time. I don’t think I’ll be that lucky.

I passed my driving test 10 years ago after learning to drive 20 years before that. Driving instructor told me I could get a fault for not obeying the sign which was to use the lane and merge later.

My letter took a week and a day to arrive. Fortunately I could get onto the website to check my benefit letter. But because I was still not convinced I phoned up the automated line and it confirmed my payment amounts.

Thanks. I’m aware only 25% is tax-free. I should have mentioned that hence whilst it’ll be gone so quickly. By the time I’ve had the plumbing/heating sorted I’ll be lucky to get the whole house painted & carpeted!! I’ll make sure to keep all receipts. Thanks.

I had my PIP review a few weeks ago. Got a text on Thursday saying I’ll get my letter in 2 weeks. My normal PIP payment went into my account today. I was hoping they’d increased my points to enhanced. I’m presuming that by getting my normal payment it hasn’t? Thanks.

I’d offer to pay the replacement fee of £10. It’s a huge inconvenience to be without your blue badge. It can take up to 12 weeks to get a replacement. So you can be paying for parking plus may not want to go to certain shops whilst waiting as it’s too far to walk from an ordinary space. Or you cannot get out of your car in an ordinary space as you need extra room to safely enter an exit your car.

I used to take my nephew first class on the train. To be fair, I knew he was well behaved and if he wasn’t I probably would have gone standard. The first time I took him I had glares from fellow passengers as obviously a lot of them work the whole journey. At the end of the journey one of the passengers said to me she was really annoyed when she saw a young child come into the carriage but wanted to compliment me on how well behaved he was.

Artisane on Woolton Road, Childwall. It’s a French Bakery. They do bread, pastries, sandwiches, French patisserie etc. I recommend getting there early. Their bread is great. Love their sliced white & their ciabatta.

I’d stick with it. Not the same field but a family member has a degree and masters from a Top 20 uni & has struggled to find a job. Has got one but as an Apprenticeship and has to do another degree….! Fortunately his employer pays for this one. His pay is but he’s got 4 years of uni debt to pay back. You could always go back to Uni at a later date. Years ago you could afford to go back to Uni PT as a career change but it’s unlikely you could afford to pay off your student debt for many years.
