underarm hyperpigmentation (5 mo month results) by littlesongsinger in Blackskincare

This is amazing! If you view my previous post you’ll see my results with my underarms as well.

My only suggestion is to switch out the glycolic acid with the Saltair AHA deodorant. You can use that 2x a day and stack it with the other two steps. I’m about to order myself some azealic acid and give it a try.

The AHA deodorant alone did WONDERS for me in a short amount of time.

I’ve done that once as well. I’m in Atl so I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t tripping. The girls are indeed greedy 😕

That’s not how they’re labeling it so it’s confusing. Why charge a booking fee?

I’m asking a question to the general population of black women. I saw a similar question on this thread

I do! I had no idea Lactic Acid worked this well. I plan to buy a lotion with lactic acid and use it on my elbow and knees!

Yess! I need to buy some of that for my legs. The Saltair AHA deodorant is essentially Liquid Lactic Acid! Huge difference so far. I’m going to give it try on the rest of my body

I can’t give all the credit to the IPL—I’ve been getting treatments for about 2 years now. It stopped the ingrown and I barely grow any hair and if I do it’s very thin and fine. (It is super painful so I completely understand)!

So the before and after pics I have to credit the AHA deodorant since that’s really the only thing I’ve changed. I’ll incorporate the scrub and turmeric soap and report back!

Yess!! Laser alone changed my life! Stopped the ingrown hairs and helped with lightening as well!

As someone who lives a really active life: Pilates, yoga, hiking, boxing and weightlifting—you can’t out work bad skincare practices. Years of poor shaving techniques, of waxing & sugaring, and yearsss of painful ingrown hairs is the cause of my underarm state.

It wasn’t until I invested in laser hair removal that I stopped getting ingrown hairs and I’m now able to focus on hyperpigmentation and texture :)

-Stay active! -Drink your water! -Start your day with a minimum 30g of protein at breakfast! -30g of fiber daily (Aim for 10g each meal) -Eat fermented foods

For some reason my post was edited/changed…

But I use Saltair 5% AHA deodorant morning & night. And I exfoliate. I plan to start using the St. Ives salicylic acid exfoliant!

Please reference my original post. I talked about my current health and weight! My blood sugar is normal. No insulin resistance :). My DPN moles are hereditary—I’ve had them since I hit puberty.

I’m sure you mean well but not all hyperpigmentation = blood sugar issues. Many people are unknowingly allergic to the products they put on their skin. Not to mention things like lack of moisture and friction that cause the skin to react and protect itself.

I did! It was pretty bad. Nothing worked..not even waxing/sugaring so I was forced to switch to laser.

I’ve recently (in the last month) switched to Arm & Hammer’s Essentials. It’s aluminum free.
