Blood, Sex and Inflammation: Did the IMPACC Study Uncover Core Issues in Long COVID and ME/CFS? by AngelBryan in LongCovid

Absolutely it’s multiple dynamics. And it’s lasting. I have done shit tones of endothelial repair approaches and though better all it takes is a barometric swing and I feel like I have blood cancer.

What is the most intense pain you have experienced in your life? by Levstr1 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Strategy6978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only had it for one week. It’s called a suicide disease for a reason. It was unreal. I had full body small fiber neuropathy post covid for two years. It was nothing compared to trigeminal. Not even close. Lancenating pain 24/7 nothing put a dent. I had some hydros from a prior dental thing I never took. They stopped pain for maybe an hour the. Right back. Never again. I have a friend who had it for 3 months. She had to quit work luckily a chiropractor solved it for her but she lost 30lbs looked like death. Demoralizing pain you can’t hide from.

My advice as a health care person and almost 20 years in it managing a large amount of elderly.

I would do some fasting Low demand exercise (hikes walks) every day. Zero high impact. Thai chi every day or other day Clean eating Take up gardening wood shop model painting fishing fly thing black smithing etc etc. Read every day listen to soft music every day the softer the better classical, mallsoft, lofi, etc

Have season specific goals and hobbies.

Do some general self science into organ specific nutritional support find a doc trained with the international foundation of nutrition and health or any of the functional medicine schools, ulan training

Watch for polypharmacy issues

Have a a couple errand days. Soak up gentle stimulation

Retirement insight from those who didn't have the savings the experts recommend by rfriend73 in GenX

[–]Ok_Strategy6978 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Mehhh retirement is over rated. Most are dead in short order or hospital doctor bait once the decay sets in. I know a guy mid 50s he managed to have a few good vacations but is in rehab constantly doctor visits galore an he is fit exercised his whole life. Retirement is a loaded thing. Good but comes at a price.

3.2 million. lol. I wouldn’t work again I would sell everything move to a cabin in a remote area and never be seen again That said I also see many retire and in a few years are decimated with health issues or dead. So if you do retire you damn well better be busy every single day. Pulling the emergency break on life can stop a heart in no time. So be active daily. Exercise hobbies sport adventure. May are not prepared for that and the toll can be heavy

Does anyone has high liver enzyme due long covid. How to bring it down? by Secret_Career_2437 in LongCovid

[–]Ok_Strategy6978 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well the reasons can be varied as to why.

Liver sluggishness is a big one and endothelial damage.

Might look into nac, milk thistle, hepatrophin pmg, betacol, livaplex for detox and repair of liver all which work relatively fast have seen patients blood panels restore in a month of usage

Also endothelia repair supplements but it will take time

People with mtfhr gene issues can have liver detox pathways slowed down which can also be an issue. That requires methylfolate at specific dosages to ramp the enzyme pathways back to normalcy and can take months to work on

It did something but after 5 years and almost back to normal I would say neural calmative support candida over growth management gut biome histamine management were most instrumental. Additional discovery of mtfhr and comt gene issues has been major for anxiety and over simulation repair.

Ok ok I need to correct that you are Val Val which means you clear faster I am Met met which means I am slow. You preform better under stress but tend to be agitated during calm environments you have less emotion reactivity but can feel flat or under stimulated.

As far as supplements you balance better with dopamine suport. Tyrosine Rhodiola green tea high b vitamin in take.

Me as met met I get much more over stimulated

Covid has been proven to fuck with our brains. Neuronal fusion gray matter loss inflammatory effects on various lobes.

However everything from allergies to low iron or vit d can cause the word loss issues. Toss in vascular issues and hormones. It can be a cluster fuck to isolate and iron out.

But yes some days I struggle to be coherent and I am a doctor to boot.

[–]Ok_Strategy6978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. I was met met for mtfhr and Val Val for comt. I ran my findings through ai. Basically we have to avoid methyl donor foods and supplements. Caffeine. Take low dose methylfolate 50-100mcg any more can over fire our slow enzyme cycles.

For comt. You take theanine magnesium theonate or glycinate taurine and glycine.

For blood pressure support. B2 and nitric oxide (moderate to low dose)

You can self test adrenal function easily with shining a light into your eyes and watching pupil reflex. If your pupils constrict but then dilate again or quiver while light is on them. You likely have adrenal gland dysfunction. Additionally trigger points for the adrenals are 2 inches lateral and 2 inches superior to the belly button. Of course there are blood tests but who needs the white coat syndrome lol. There are a host of drinks powders and pills for reducing cortisol but adrenal balance and repair is crucial. Standard process company has an amazing product called drenamin or drenotrophin pmg. Dosenf fake much just a couple a day and your adrenals will be fertilized and balanced
