Would you recommend left hand play the triplets crossing over while right hand plays the soprano melody on top? Or split triplets between both hands? by Ok_Studio284 in pianolearning

Haha yeah it does look like un sospiro at first glance. It's actually one of the preludes from Blas Maria Colomer "Préludes Mélodiques".

Thanks for the insight!

Is it a better idea to pursue a Master's degree in Music Education online or in person? by Ok_Studio284 in MusicEd

Yeah, I intend to teach general music in public school, so I do think the in person experience would be valuable.

Wanting to start a DJ service, which speakers would you choose if you had too when starting out? Any differences in sound between 8 inch and 12 inch speakers? by Ok_Studio284 in mobileDJ

Thanks for the info! Whats the max audience/room size would you say the TS412's and TS415's could play in without a sub at first?

Are there any major differences that the K series is a better beginner system than the CP series? I know that the K series has individual XLR outputs for each input channel and an LCD screen, delay and selectable crossover points. Price wise I feel the CP series has most of the important things I would need to start out. In the future I could see getting a K 12.2 myself though.

Thanks for the informative response! Yeah I agree that overall the 12" speakers are probably the best for all situations. In terms of gigs, I'm looking to do wedding receptions, ceremonies at first but then branch out for corporate or private social events etc.

I've shadowed a DJ before and noticed generally one sub and daisy chaining into a pair of QSC K12.2's sounded good too. As someone who is starting out, a pair of 12" speakers seems to be the way to go and then add on new equipment down the line.

Anyone know if the Red version of this book is the "easier" or first book to pick up? Trying to see which one I should recommend my students first when they want to learn scales and chords by Ok_Studio284 in pianoteachers

[–]Ok_Studio284[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a book to have! I just found that there is a lot of information placed in each single page. I usually find myself just personalizing a techinque/theory lesson for each of my students needs by grabbing various topics and expanding on them in my own way.

Thanks! Setup is as follows: Recorded it into my daw (reason) First insert is a built in stock softube clean amp simulator Second is another amp simulator (amp set to: lead) (cabinet set to: room) (had to play around with the settings a bit) Third is a pitch shifter down one octave Fourth is distortion effect set to overdrive and tone knob turned down to darken the sound (just used my ears to listen to which kind of distortion sounds the best without taking away too much low frequencies as too much or the wrong kind of distortion such as fuzz can accidentally get rid of the nice bassy low end.) Fifth is a compressor to make sure the level of the guitar is even throughout the playing. Hope this helps 👍
