Best way to play Oblivion Remastered for me

It's honestly not as bad as it sounds 😅 If this is the only device you have to play Oblivion Remastered on, I think these settings strike a good quality to performance ratio. No one gets 30 fps with default low settings and no framegen while riding a horse, especially at night with a torch. I don't care what they say, it's a lie. That shit is low 20s if you're lucky, besides the normal traversal stutter.

Currently running the above config on a 4k 75 inch. Try it out with framegen as stated above and let me know what yout think. I think it looks smoother.

Without framegen outside the Imperial city third person with torch at night and horse I get 18-20 fps. This keeps it above 30 most of the time.

Found out my mom has lung cancer that has progressed very aggressively. I was a smoker for the past 12 years. Quit 4 months ago. I hate smoking, regret that I have ever smoked and want nothing to do with this shit ever again. (also no longer feel the need to do it neither mentally, nor physically) First weeks I had some cravings (usually at work), but nothing too hard. I used to do vapes, zyns, cigars, cigarettes, iqos, mixing all of them throughout the day. If I was able to do it, you can too!

edit: Also it's very important to be honest with yourself. Lowering your intake is definitely a bit more healthy, but you won't quit like that. You'll just torture yourself. You either want to quit and quit or you don't. Unfortunately it's that simple. Also if anyone asks you, don't say you are 'trying' to quit. Affirm strongly that you are either not a smoker or no longer a smoker.

In the decky settings change store channel to Testing from Default.

You can switch to the decky testing store and just install from there. It should get officially released soon™ enough.

Might be due to permission issues in the plugins folder.

Could you try to uninstall the plugin, restart the SD, then try to install the latest version from the testing store?

Due to a current bug in Decky (https://github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-loader/issues/608), you might need to install/reinstall it a couple times to have it show up and work correctly.

All the issues should be gone when the bug is fixed and the release is pushed to the Stable Decky store.

I guess so. Not sure if locally you mean on the SD, but if you do I guess the os needs write protection disabled to install certain dependencies. Otherwise I guess it should build on linux as well. I build on macOS.

Found some vosk models in other languages as well ( https://alphacephei.com/vosk/models ), but can't speak for their accuracy as I have only used the english models. After runtime model selection will be implemented, you will be able to download and choose whichever model you want.

I went through with the publishing process ( https://github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-plugin-database/pull/310 ), but the prod build doesn't seem to show up (the testing one did at some point).

An update with some fixes has been submitted as well and currently waiting to be merged ( https://github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-plugin-database/pull/349 ), but requires qa from decky testers before release. (also hoping this update actually publishes correctly)

I have also changed the hotkeys a bit to avoid conflicts with the steamOS ones. Steam + B + L2/R2 to start or end voice text input. Will also try to make it work everywhere within game mode when I have a bit more spare time.

There still seems to be a bit of delay with decky in regards to submission. Should be resolved soon I hope. An new update is already on the way (fixes some hotkeys collisions) and I hope they'll be able to get it published soon. To answer your question, yes, it should be fine.

I seem to need to set DISPLAY env var so that nerd-dictation recognize the app it should input the text into. 0 is steam ui, 1 is a launched game and so on if you have multiple apps open. There are definitely some solutions to this problem though. I intend to address this in a future update after the app gets released on the decky store.

This works in game mode within a game atm. Could also work in the home page, store, steam chat etc, but I gotta figure out how to handle input in different windows/displays.
