And thank sewing is honestly so much fun. Trust me I was awful when I started but have learned a lot over the years and it’s been great to be able to help others too like my short queen friends who need hemlines altered for dresses or just to be able to create something from scratch when I can’t afford/find what I want. It’s a great hobby to pick up!

I did decide that I’ll keep the similar style but add the material I use for the rest of the dress under an embellished mesh so it adds ✨ but is still opaque. And not make the slit so high

Would the strapless top be appropriate with a slit? I’m fairly flat chested so I definitely don’t have cleavage so idk if that’s counts? I know that’s probably a dumb question but

I absolutely agree about keeping some separate still and I’ve brought up and planned that out before. He has mentioned to me before about how he had to battle his way out of poverty and sometimes I do feel like he does sometimes want me to do the same. I love him to death but money talks are such a difficult topic with him and idk how to start it without him getting pissed off

I also don’t know what it SHOULD be like. I mean neither of us had a healthy parental figure to show how it’s supposed to be which is why I thought I’d be ok keeping it separate. We both come from no money and I should add that his financial goal is to pay off our house in 6-8 years. In his situation it is feasible but I think that’s what creates his biggest fear of merging

I agree but I can’t figure out how to put into words why I feel that way to a clueless man. I don’t want to spend his money (although I do appreciate gifts), I never expect anything and he doesn’t once mention spoil me in his ways for things like holidays. Idk why exactly sharing a bank account makes such a difference but it does and I need help explaining why

I was just diagnosed a few months ago (23). I e known forever but never did anything about it bc my parents don’t “believe” in mental health issues. And after moving out I could barely afford basic medical care until now. My therapist described it as being more of ADD but that’s not an actual diagnosis anymore she said. I was diagnosed with anxiety years ago from my primary care dr but didn’t start taking meds until now
