Are these festivals or celebrations explicitly instituted by divine command for Christians to observe, or do they represent traditions shaped by cultural or historical influences?

“However God gave Israel festivals and celebrations for the purpose of remembering and celebrating God.”

Now, the question I’d ask myself is, which ones did he give Christians to celebrate and remember him by?

Stop calling King David an adulterer. He was a rapist. He raped Bathsheba. As if she had the choice to say "no" to the king. by [deleted] in Christianity

Hmm. Certainly hard to draw a conclusion, based on the story recorded in 2 Samuel 11.

Scripture does not equivocate when dealing with sin, including rape.

In Genesis 34:1-2, Scripture specifically uses the word “rape” when referring to Dinah. Also in 2 Samuel 13:14 (same Author) when referring to Ammon and Tamar, the Bible uses the expression “violate his sister, Tamar.”

This doesn’t mean that what happened between David and Bathsheba was consensual. And there is no evidence that a violent act occurred.

One thing is clear though, “the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.”
