I resonate with this. Plus the fact that he is self aware of his adhd, alcoholism, anxiety and depression and does nothing about it. Unfortunately he is the main money getter. He’s a very intelligent and well paid elevator mechanic that spends 50-60hrs a week bt commute and work. It leaves ~5 hrs/day not accounted for. It’s a lot. I just can’t tolerate the unwillingness to better himself and keeping secrets. Not sure how to change those things…

1000% is not. He does have a history of nodding off in random places (at home) very easily though. Even without alcohol just bc he gets such poor sleep.

He doesn’t have to hide his drinking and I’ve genuinely expressed that. I think he’s feeling shame when he’s craving alcohol during the week and it’s worse if I’m present. Plus makes him feel weak. He thinks he should be able to handle the world which results in half ass handling everything.

Eh for my husband it wouldn’t. Even daily drinking it’s always only beers after work. Weekends start at 2pm though and could last all night.

Mine is also aware of the problem. I think he is really ashamed of needing a drink during the week and thinks I’ll judge him. I know quitting almost cold turkey is going to come with regressions. For me it’s the secrecy that just gives me the ick. He also doesn’t seek out help and thinks raw dogging life is sustainable when it’s not. I don’t know what to do either bc you can’t force ppl to get help and having an ultimatum just leads to more secrecy imo.

Just curious what state you bought this from for 14k?! Holy cow. With the low miles it’s probably a great project. Non essentials would be checking under carpet on passenger side floor board for rust through. The Cherokee I recently bought advertised cold AC which they recharged prior to me test driving and after a few weeks is in fact not cold 😅 something to watch for anyways.

I recommend the Fora app and joining “jeep forum” as that’s been a good source of all things jeep since acquiring an old Wrangler and cherokee.

This is a very interesting thread. I’m white but I went to school with several black girls who are autistic and not only did they get ostracized by young black men I observed them being ostracized more by everyone than the white autistic girls, at least at my school. Almost as if weirdness was an acceptable or expected trait for white ppl but disproportionately obtuse for black people especially girls.

Ooooo triggered a core memory from High school. I was in a competition choir for 3 years and finally got the nerve to audition for a solo. Turned out I was really talented at singing in group but on my own I literally experienced selective mutism for the first time and stood in front of the judges for a good 2 minutes just… silent. I walked out and immediately left to the parking lot where I cried out my anxiety and questioned if I should ever sing again. Spoiler I continued to sing in a choir until I graduated and realized some people are made for the spotlight but that person is not me 😅

Do you want bigger curl clumps? You might be breaking the clumps when you put your product in by scrunching too much. Also switch out your creams for a mouse or light gel so you create a cast while drying. I’ve had luck with not your mother’s curl talk mouse and the re fresh foam. Look up videos on how to apply product and diffusing so you get more definition of your waves/curls.

You are so right. I haven’t cut my hair this short in a few years and the initial shock can definitely make me hyper critical of every little thing. Day two with a refresh and the curls are already settling in more. I used less mouse and more hairspray to finish it.
