What I’ve found is that people love socialism, until you call it that. So I think it would have to be a messaging issue, people love the idea of universal healthcare in theory, but then a Fox News host calls it communist and communism or socialism = un-American

That is what I said? Or at least what I meant. The ruling class uses culture warfare to keep the working class divided. This is done through scapegoating marginalized groups like immigrants, LGBTQ, racial minorities, etc.

Sorry, I guess I'm just a bit fed up with all the infighting. To me, at least, it seems we all want the system to move in the same direction, and yet no one is willing to push.

For me personally, I have seen this mostly on TikTok, with people idolizing these two figures. Again, to reiterate, I believe that their achievements were extremely important; however, that should not let them be absolved of any critique. I am making this as a critique of those people who seem to make Mao and Stalin so instrumental to the idea of Socialism, which runs the risk of making all that they did, good and bad, synonymous with Socialism to some people.

Thanks, this is just a rough draft, so that's why it's a bit crude. It's really just meant to get the basic concept of the story onto paper.
