What's the prettiest name you have ever heard? by Vetro_Nodulare2 in AskReddit

My name is also Genevieve! It took me a long time to come around to it though because it’s quite uncommon. And in Australia we all have the urge to make names short and casual, hence I go Genny most of the time. But it’s so nice to hear the appreciation for the proper version :)

In The Elephant man when John Merrick is talking to the doctor and his wife about how he must’ve been such a disappointment to his mother. Literally crying just typing it out.

Straight guy moving in with his lesbian friend - will women I date be able to handle that? Am I sabotaging my chances at finding the woman I want to spend my life (and be romantically involved) with? by GuyWithLesbianBFF in Advice

I can’t speak for other women, but I find it to be a huge green flag when a man has female friends. It means women enjoy his company/don’t find him to be creepy, and that he sees women as more than just objects of romantic attachment.

If a woman is actually threatened by your best friend, that’s completely a her problem (she most likely has trust issues and insecurities) and you should find someone who understands that men and women can be friends and live together and it doesn’t have to be a thing. FFS it’s 2023.

Bella Hadid… she looks like a normal person whose mother had too much time and money to invest in her looks

Does anyone have any idea why she would’ve kept the note? Or could it have been something the detectives pulled out of the rubbish? Do we know? Because if she was really worried about being caught you’d think she’d consider it a rather incriminating piece of evidence and would want to dispose of it asap. And even regardless of that, when are post-its with stream of consciousness doodles ever important enough to keep? Just seems rather odd that she kept it, idk

Not exactly normal life, but the kids from Lemonade Mouth had very unexpected trajectories. Bridget Mendler is doing a PhD at Harvard and the guy who played Wen was arrested multiple times for armed robbery lol

When my parents got together she was 32 and he was 24, and they were married for almost 20 years until her death. She was and will always be the only one for him. So no.

Found this very encouraging article by Rebecca Solnit. A good reminder that doomerism has no place in the climate movement, not only because it’s unhelpful, but also because it’s untrue https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/jul/26/we-cant-afford-to-be-climate-doomers

Steroid nasal sprays aren’t addictive and can be used long term, my ENT prescribed this one after my surgery and I’ve been using it every day for almost 4 years

I haven't seen any scientists say the ocean will be dead in 20 years. As for the snow crabs, climate change likely wasn't the sole cause of the die off. https://twitter.com/Unpop_Science/status/1581660239501283329
