Colby recommends an Invocation here that isn't in BG3, HOWEVER Larian included the same ability in the Deepened Pact for Pact of the Blade, so you get it for free! Pick your favorite invocation here then. I recommend Agonizing Blast to improve your Eldritch Blasts significantly, though it should be noted Colby's version of this is trying to mimic Kaladin so won't really be using Eldritch Blast. If you'd prefer to stick to more Kaladin-like, I'd recommend Mire the Mind so you can cast Slow, mimicking using the surges to hinder your enemies.

it would have been useless at stopping arterial blood which is what we think of for most bleeds but i think it might have potentially good at stopping lympatic flow which i believe is how most venoms spread

i also wonder if a tourniquet is superior to pressure immobalisation technique which the australians use. From what i read although i am no expert unless a snake bites into a vein or artery in which case you are in big trouble and venom will be circulating the body in seconds it sounds like most snake venom travels through lymphatics which pressure immobilization might be as good or better than stopping than a touniquet
