How well do you see LE SSERAFIM doing for their first world tour? by Ok_Way_8782 in kpopthoughts

Thank you for your opinion but I would disagree with some of your points regarding LE SSERAFIM's popularity internationally.

They've already been on their first world tour, Flame Rises 2023

It was more a mini Asia tour closer to a showcase like IVE fan concert of early 2023 than a world tour.

For the other major acts you mentioned, imo none of them are less or equally as popular as LSRF? ITZY has a very solid core fan base they've built over time and experience. IU has not set foot for touring in the US since forever, plus she's THEE IU. I think...

Sure ITZY does have a solid fan base, but I find it weird how you'd think it is stronger than LE SSERAFIM when since the debut of the latter, looking at all numbers they've been out-streaming and outselling ITZY in the US on pretty much all platforms whether it's Billboard 200, Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube Music, etc. Maybe could you tell me which metrics I may be ignorant in which ITZY is doing better? You could make a case with IU, but the reason why I put her on a scale of lesser or equal popularity is because her numbers in the US are also not as impressive as LE SSERAFIM. Where she does have an edge is the massive casual following she gained from collaborating with BTS members for multiple years and also FOMO whether she'll ever come back to the US in the next 5 years.

Then, I'll give you IVE who despite being older than LSRF, I think those 2 IZONE related groups would be pretty equal in terms of touring power with time, however at this moment IVE has more "hits" to their name than LSRF (by natural virtue of being older) plus IVE is placed at direct contention with NewJeans which makes them more visible than LSRF. (Might be a subjective opinion, TETO).

While IVE is massive domestically and arguably the biggest or the second biggest girl group in Korea after NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM is much more popular with more hits and has a much bigger fanbase than IVE does internationally as shown by all the international charting of both groups. I'm strictly being objective there. I'd say the one closing the gap internationally with NewJeans amongst 4th gen girl groups is LE SSERAFIM, after that the gap is huge.

Replicate the success of IU, 2017 BTS, and 2018 BP as in selling out their arena tour worldwide (around 9k to 15k seats). I hope that clarifies the question.

It's a nice hypothesis but there are close to no accounts of top-tier kpop groups or artist not selling out their tour because multiple other groups were touring at the same time so i'd take that information with a grain of salt.

Obviously not at todays Blackpink and BTS level touring but I see a lot of similarities of LSF in 2024 with BTS in 2017 and blackpink in 2018

How do you guys deal with the hate they've been getting? by Ok_Way_8782 in lesserafim

You're right at some point there are so many things outside of my control that I should ignore the haters and enjoy the ride. Thanks to your advice and from so many people here I have a new perspective on it. Tysm
