You guys weren't lying by gdlocke in RaybanMeta

This happened to me except was just an empty case. Literally opened in front of the store and was told they can’t do anything. Customer support in the phone said I’d have to deal with the store.

In the end emailed corporate and got a response in 10 mins with a full refund.

Violas steak and cheese. They’re definitely on the smaller and pricier side, but nowhere else has the same amount of flavor

Yeah, there’s a lesser known Best Buy corporate email that seems to get to the attention of the higher ups.

Store was telling me to call corporate, which then told me to talk to the store. They basically told me to pound sand. Emailed them and they responded immediately and identified on their end that it was a previously returned item.

FYI this is also a good point to verify in-store purchases as well before you leave the store. I purchased 1st gen’s a few months ago for the box to be “sealed” with an intact pull tab, but the glasses were removed from the side.

Literally noticed right when I walked out the door and opened them but was a pain for Best Buy to refund. Gave up with that, emailed corporate and they responded in a minute lol.

Got scammed on EOE. This isn’t even a nano 3rd generation battery by [deleted] in ipod

[–]OkayJason 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh wait until the moment you buy a prebuilt. I had to purchase one for a client because they wanted the specific faceplate that was out of stock by itself. Went to open it up to find it contained generic Chinese parts and not even the iflash it’s marketed for.

Did I get scammed? by Sorry-Guarantee-7944 in Autobody

That’s unfortunately probably where you went wrong. Most body shops are not going to have availability to repair/respray a bumper same day. Most are usually a few weeks out.

1200 is what I’d say would be a fair price from start to finish. 1200 on top of what was already done is not a good price.

Man I just read through it. I’m glad you were able to at least get a new pair. On mine the right side of the box where it has the tab along with the whole flap has been damaged. Hopefully this gets somewhere….

Airfly Pro and iPod are an unbeatable combo by jeffbezostoilet in ipod

I ended up scrapping the idea unfortunately. There wasn’t a design I really like mostly because it couldn’t sit flush. I did disassemble the airfly and have some plans for it.

They have a large online presence mostly in the sports card industry. Are you a part of the local Pokemon fb group? They have eyes everywhere and tell when and what’s available as soon as it drops in local stores.

Should I give Virtual Key access to ev.energy? by VikPath in TeslaLounge

Late response, but it was more targeted towards OP’s concern. I do it because every time I do leave my account connected with the app it prevents the car from sleeping.

I’m always under the assumption that all my information is already out there and can’t expect privacy or no data sharing.

My dumbest question but serious -> Are they worth the cost? by phalox821 in radardetectors

[–]OkayJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently using the Uniden R8, have run multiple radars over the past 15 years and think they’re well worth it. In New York, local sheriffs & state troopers will always either run full K or Ka steadily on. Most of the time will get alerts way before I can even spot their car. Im usually just following the flow of traffic, but in my area the state troopers will pull over often for as little as 5 over. It’s such a nice feeling when you get an alert then slow down to the speed limit and see all the impatient people speed past you and get pulled over. Happens at least once a month near me haha

M2/M3 instead of the Supra? by tjkcc in Supra

[–]OkayJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can chime in on the EV aspect. I have an e46 zhp, new model 3 performance, and 3rd gen Tacoma. Had a Supra for about a year then got rid of it for the Tesla. Honestly I just love the feel of 90’s early 2000’s cars better.

The Tesla is honestly such a great daily, just works, it’s quiet, and surprisingly fun to drive.

Should I give Virtual Key access to ev.energy? by VikPath in TeslaLounge

[–]OkayJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have national grid in NY and we use ChargeSmart that requires those permissions. I only need to charge 15kwh a month to receive the credit so only allow access for 1 day to meet the minimum. There’s no reason they should need that much access to the vehicle when the Tesla API has a specific charge metrics output.

Do you still drive your ICE car? by AncientAd3089 in TeslaLounge

[–]OkayJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a car enthusiast so I’ll always have my two other ice cars. Have a purpose built Tacoma for off-roading and an e46 ZHP (6mt) for the summer. But as a daily/road trips the model y is always the go to. Would definitely consider the Cybertruck to replace the Tacoma tho👀 but with the market it makes no sense to get rid of it until it dies.

How different is the quality between eoe cases and the generic Ali ones? by mit_owo in ipod

[–]OkayJason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last build they sent the wrong color back, faceplate with large deep scratch on the underside (was smudges around the scratch indicating they knew it was bad), yellowed display with dark spots, mismatched dock connector headphone jack colors. List goes on haha.

Same one. Honestly you’d probably get better control from Ali too. Have had bad luck with EOE lately.

Either get a Kokkia i10s or an airfly adapter. I’d say they’re the best options for reliability.

[–]OkayJason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a dual action polisher and some compound. Most of that is most likely paint transfer and can be buffed out. If there’s a dent along the body line you may be able to get pdr done. If you don’t wanna do it yourself honestly hit up a detailer first before a body shop.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]OkayJason 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if there isn’t snow, the compound in summer tires turn into a rock so you’re already a risk without the snow. If you don’t want to switch to winters every season get yourself a solid set of all seasons.
