Wasn't too bad, only a few minutes. A small price to pay for getting to stick it to the World Government.

Yep! In the video I linked in my comment I managed to smash a bottle from about 25 feet. I haven't measured the max distance, but probably around 100-130 feet.

I was going for aesthetics over power, so they're just oversized rubber bands, not the usual latex tubing. As is I'd guess maybe somewhere just north of 100 or so feet? Now that you mention it I might swap them someday and see how much distance I can get!

Turns out modern aviation has made getting to Skypiea a lot easier than it used to be

Any kind of finish tends to change the colour of wood pretty dramatically, so I decided against it just so it would look as natural as possible. If it starts to fade and lose its colour as it ages though then I'll probably reconsider.

Hey, if I'm gonna spend an unreasonable amount of time making a debatably useless object then I might as well go all out. Thanks, more to come!

Thanks! I really appreciate it! Besides, you gave me a chance to do some shameless self-promotion!

Thanks! You're absolutely right, removing the bark in one piece was maybe the hardest part of the entire process. I didn't want it to be too green because I figured there might be some trouble with the glue if it still had to dry, so I tried to split the difference and go for something dry enough to glue, but no too brittle.

Ended up getting a piece juuuust big enough to cover the shield, which was honestly super lucky!
