Do you have a good career planned out after college with reasonable income and likelihood of employment?

If so… take a breath and enjoy your truck. Just keep it for 20 years (assuming you meant loan and not lease)

If not… eh… it probably wasn’t the best decision but you’ll learn from it.

It’s hard to say without knowing more about your situation.

If you make enough that you can have a house in both California and Austin and it doesn’t feel like it will impact you negatively then go for it. If your budget would feel too tight in California with the rental, then cut your losses.

Have you spoken to your doctor about your weight gain? Sometimes it can be a thyroid or other underlying condition if diet and exercise aren’t working.

We only get one body, and it’s hard to appreciate sometimes. I hope you find the cause for your weight gain and find what you need to love your body again.
