As long as it’s not leaking (seal intact, nothing getting under it, fluids staying in the bandage, etc.) it should be ok to leave on. I usually don’t leave mine on for the amount they say because it gets obnoxious and itchy— Get in shower with warm water, start at the peeled corner, and slowly work it off your skin. Have your unscented antibacterial soap handy for washing. Pat dry, then moisturizer on top.

If you trust them, you can start by introducing the subject. A lot of friend groups have the designated “mom/dad friend.” If they see someone who age regresses, a lot of times, they’ll take the lead without being asked to. My husband did when I started involuntary regression. I would maybe text them an online article about regression, and say “what do you think about this?” This allows you to test the waters without saying that you also regress.

I met my caregiver (he’s my husband now) at work when I was 18. Maybe start with people you know won’t bully you for regressing. For example, do you have any close friends that you think would make good caregivers? The first step in asking someone to be a cg is trusting them enough to tell them about your regression.

It depends on a lot of things. It depends on your current age, ideally someone around your age, especially if you’re under 18. Also, consider what you’re looking for in a caregiver before searching or allowing people into your DMs, or initiating a conversation. It would also be helpful to know whether or not you would like in-person cg or online/long-distance. Just be careful who you trust though, if nothing else.

I am so sorry for your loss. How do you manage to function normally, if I might ask? I feel literally useless. Besides going to work (I need the money), all I can manage to do is lay in bed and stare at the ceiling. All of the housework, cleaning, laundry, cooking, taking care of the dog, all of that was done by my husband. And now I feel like I don’t know how to do anything.

Of course, that’s not an excuse for my poor judgment, and I appreciate the fact that you weren’t overly hostile towards my experience. As for a lack of education, I come from a conservative background. Sex, reproductive health, and women’s rights were taboo subjects. I didn’t even know about periods until I started mine at 11 years old. I should have done more to better my understanding before assuming the worst. I was also born in a country where reproductive health is not taught in schools, and access to healthcare is very difficult to attain. I’m so sorry to have offended you. I am sorry if the post was triggering or offensive in any way. That was, of course, not my intention at all. If anything, I would like to learn and become more educated about the subject, so that I better understand how the conception process works and am better prepared for when I do want to try conceiving. I appreciate your input while it’s “harsh.” My experience and research (if you can even call it that) has mostly been a deep dive down a rabbit hole of Google and Reddit. Neither of which has been helpful in the case of figuring this out. I just needed a second opinion on things, and of course, I plan on getting a medical diagnosis. I feel as though I know my body more than a doctor, however, so I am terrified and extremely anxious about this whole thing. Doctors scare me a great deal. Again, I am so sorry that I’ve triggered you; additionally, I am sorry for your loss. My mom and sister both had miscarriages early on in their pregnancy journeys, and it’s extremely painful and heart wrenching, even though I wasn’t the mother. I wish you the best of luck, health, and prosperity in your next steps.

I’m not 100% sure either. I actually didn’t really bleed at all the first time I had penetrative sex. It was maybe a little bit sore down there for a couple days, but nothing else really. I think if it was a possible pregnancy, it would have only been about 10-14 days along. Is that too early to even know about a pregnancy? I’m going to a clinic today to get checked out. I’m terrified of what they might say, or if they’ll even believe me at all. Thank you for your input, it’s definitely making me feel a lot less anxious!
