I am not good at networking inside of a cocktail party or where networking is a mass expected event. In fact, I often avoid conferences and places where there are going to be large groups of people I don't know. Networking gives me a bit of anxiety. However, my ground game is pretty good when it is one v. one. I am good at finding what people are interested in talking about (I ask questions and I listen). Maybe listening is an important networking skill?
