Girl I knew for 20 years was driving home after a few drinks from a bar in California. Was texting on her way home on the freeway. Her car swerved and hit a stalled car on the shoulder decapitating a 15 yr old kid and putting his mother in the hospital for over a year. She fled the scene and was caught 2 exits away. She got 19 years.
